Rotary Clubs of Lincoln Present Saint Elizabeth 2013 Salute to Business Award

April 04 2013

Lincoln, Neb. – Saint Elizabeth Regional Medical Center announced today that they are the recipient of the 2013 Salute to Business award from the Rotary Clubs of Lincoln. Saint Elizabeth is being recognized for their outstanding service contribution to the Lincoln community.

“We are thrilled to be recognized by the Rotary Clubs of Lincoln,” said Kim Moore, president of Saint Elizabeth. “Saint Elizabeth was founded over 120 years ago with a vision to improve the health and well-being of our community. Just as our founders promised, we have remained dedicated to caring and supporting our community. Receiving this award is an honor.”

Saint Elizabeth is a 264-bed, nonprofit medical center and one of Lincoln’s largest employers. Last year, they handled more than 34,000 emergency room visits, 10,000 surgical procedures and 2,000 births.

As the first hospital in Lincoln, Saint Elizabeth has a long-standing commitment to the Lincoln community and is dedicated to providing quality, compassionate health care. In 2012, they contributed more than $2 million to the community by participating in programs and services designed to improve the health of citizens and increase access to health care for those in need.

Moore will accept the award on behalf of Saint Elizabeth at a luncheon hosted by the Rotary Clubs at the Cornhusker Marriott hotel on Tuesday, April 23.
