Lincoln, Neb. – Saint Elizabeth Regional Medical Center has been recognized by U.S. News & World Report as a high-performing hospital for 2013 – 2014 in three areas, including gastroenterology and GI surgery, orthopedics and urology. U.S. News evaluated over 4,800 medical centers across the United States. Only 147 hospitals earned a ranking in at least one of 16 specialties.
“We are proud to achieve this ranking,” says Kim Moore, president of Saint Elizabeth Regional Medical Center. “It is a testament to our dedicated staff. We strive to offer every patient the best possible care and the latest, innovative treatments available.”
Saint Elizabeth is the only hospital in Lincoln to receive the high-performing award and is ranked third in the state. “Being ranked third in the state really speaks to the quality of care we provide our patients,” says Brenda Stutzman, director of Orthopaedics at Saint Elizabeth.
U.S. News bases the rankings on a complex set of factors including hospital performance, physician surveys, nurse staffing levels and clinical data, such as patient outcomes and clinical processes.
